[FM Discuss] a crazy moment pondering a manifesto

I'm a bit late to this discussion, but I want to point out that most 
organizations have mission statements, and some also have value 
statements that work like the manifesto Adam is talking about.

For all I know, we might already have a mission statement. A lot of 
funders demand one. "Free manuals for free software" is a great one-line 
start, but usually a mission statement offers a little more detail.
