That is a good point. A language community doesn't have to be tied to
installing their own version of BookType if they don't have the
technical resources to do it.

You can use booki.flossmanuals.net or booki.cc
Then if you want you can create a Front End for your community using
_any_ kind of tool and just link. eg - HTML, WordPress, Drupal.

This allows you to link to the current versions of your books, link to
the write interface to invite collaboration and have a nice flexible
graphical display to highlight the good work you are doing.

This is what was done with some existing books eg -
http://collaborative-futures.org/ and
http://openweb.flossmanuals.net

If your community grows and wants to install BookType then you can
easily migrate your books.
