I'm not sure about the security implications of csd files, but it can
also be a drain on bandwidth, hard drive and backup resources for an
org with no money....
Out of interest, where else could it go? While I know that the
internet archive is one place, since that is censored in some
countries it may not be ideal.
I don't mind either way, so long as it's a consistent policy. Given
tight resources, I would suggest that big media, blobs etc, get stored
elsewhere - youtube, last.fm, soundcloud, internet archive - is
probably the best bet at the moment, with a view to changing it should
resources become more available.
