Hi. As you know i am working on the translation to spanish of "How to make
your own Sugar Activities" manual.
I want to clarify my working method and to justify my procedure.
1st) I had to choose a version of the original Simmons' book , because I
found the same book under 2 different titles: ActivitiesGuideSugar and Make
Your Own Sugar Activities.
I chose to work on this original:
http://booki.flossmanuals.net/make-your-own-sugar-activities//edit
2nd) To avoid editing a spanish machine translation I am translating (
manually ) directly from english original mentioned above.
I was informed about the existing :
http://translate.flossmanuals.net/ActivitiesGuideSugar_es/
That has some parts human-edited by native spanish speakers
>From what I see, I can guess that the introduction and less technicals parts
of the book, are the revised ones. I would like to have more info on this.
3rd) To avoid duplicating work, as I wait for info on which of the 23
chapters were properly revised, I am working with the more techical chapters
that are clearly unwell in the actual translation.
Despite I am not a python programmer, i ve wrote some little examples for
pippy, being linux user since ubuntu 8.10, developed --re-using someone
else's code--http://activities.sugarlabs.org/en-US/sugar/addon/4316,
studied in spanish language one php programming course and I work among
http://ceibaljam.org where i can ask sugar developers in case of doubt.
I clarify this to justify my choice of working on technical translations.
4th) As I was not able to import original from translate.flossmanuals.net
I created a new manual on booki where I paste "manually" the english version
to keep format and then translate it.
In:
http://booki.flossmanuals.net/accounts/login/?next=/comohacertusactividadessugar/edit/
You can see the slow but steady progress of the work that i intend to finish
completely - including revision- before end of april where FLISOL anual
festival is held.
Suggestions are welcome.
Saludos :)
Booki get s prettier every day :)
ps. Are you informed about our next summit ?
